I first came into contact with CIMSOLUTIONS when I was in the fourth year of the HBO-ICT Business course. Saxion had organized a business fair at which CIMSOLUTIONS was present. I immediately thought it was an interesting organization, I wanted to know more about it. At the fair I spoke with an employee of CIMSOLUTIONS. CIMSOLUTIONS attaches great importance to learning, offers career opportunities and has a lot of diversity in the workplace.

At CIMSOLUTIONS you come into contact with different clients, which I found instructive and nice and varied. They also had a branch in Deventer.

Graduation assignment e-learning
I decided to do my graduation assignment at CIMSOLUTIONS at the Deventer location. My graduation assignment was about E-learning. I have done research on how e-learning can be applied to the internal training offer and the intranet of CIMSOLUTIONS. I was well guided by CIMSOLUTIONS, I felt taken seriously, time was made for me and in the meantime I got to know the company well. You could tell that they had a lot of experience in supervising graduates. There were clear agreements and there were many opportunities during graduation. Such as the opportunity to interview employees, set up a think tank, practice my presentations several times and ask for feedback from the internship supervisor and other employees. The result was a starting point for applying e-learning. The focus was on the right parts. This has led me to take my research to a higher level and to graduate successfully (yes!). After a smooth application, I joined CIMSOLUTIONS. A good start to my career in IT.

Traineeship full o training and workshops 

After a wonderful summer holiday, I started a Traineeship at CIMSOLUTIONS. During the traineeship I followed various training courses and workshops. Training and workshops were given by colleagues with a great deal of knowledge and practical experience. I worked with other trainees on a project where we could immediately apply the new knowledge, which was fun, instructive and sometimes exciting. Every now and then during the project you are thrown into the deep end, things don't turn out as you expected and things go wrong. That is the intention, because mistakes you make during the training program will not be made at the customer later. That's where you learn the most in the end. The compiled training program is tailor-made and depends on the interests and preferences of you and your new colleagues. The project is well supervised and you are prepared for practice. Thanks to the traineeship I was able to develop further into a T-shaped Test Engineer. After two months I was ready to be deployed at the customer.

Get started as a Test Engineer
During the traineeship it became clear that CIMSOLUTIONS wanted to use me on an internal project. That is why I had an intake interview during the traineeship. After the traineeship I was allowed to start working on this project immediately. It concerns a migration project to support business processes, in which a Microsoft Dynamics AX system is migrated to a new cloud solution in Microsoft Dynamics 365. I have now been working at CIMSOLUTIONS as a Test Engineer for more than a year. I'm still on the same internal project. I have nice colleagues and I learn a lot. If it's up to me, I'm far from done learning and I hope that I can gain much more knowledge and experience at CIMSOLUTIONS in the future.
