The SIG Java event achieved remarkable success thanks to Oracle's Rob van der Aar's captivating and interactive presentation. His engaging delivery and insightful content left attendees enlightened and inspired, making the event a standout success in the world of Java programming.

Only 2 days after the historic moment for the global Java community when Oracle released the first Non-Public Java version, Rob van der Aar, Director Business Development EMEA of Oracle, was a guest speaker at our Special Interest Group Java. During an interactive presentation, Rob shared all the ins and outs about how Oracle makes Java technology and important security updates available to the world. A world in which Java programs can be found on computers and servers in approximately 95% of organizations. Rob also elaborated on the impact of these updates. In particular, of course, for our developers and customers.

In September 2017, Oracle released Java version 9 under a new release cadence and on January 15, Oracle released the latest Public available update (202) for Java version 8.

In a nice interaction with the group, Rob shared more than 1.5 hours from the Oracle Java Global Businesses Unit about the changes, implications and solutions for Java support and (security) updates!
